Blooming in the fall works well for this flower, because that’s a time when the bees don’t have many flowers to choose from, so they visit the Marsh Marigold often, and spread its pollen.
Can you see the bee in the picture? The brownish-yellow center of this plant is the same color as the bee, so it’s the perfect place for a bee to gather pollen without being noticed by hungry birds.
